Bargain hunting

I've been really lucky today... The luck of the Irish!!
I went bargain hunting in my favorite charity shops, and I found many cheap & cute stuff!!
It made my day :-)

Floral vintage pleated skirt - 3.50€
Jupe vintage plissée à fleurs

Blue & white vintage floral pleated skirt - 2.50€
Jupe vintage blanche plissée à fleurs

Blue vintage tartan wiggle skirt - 3.80€
Jupe vintage droite - tartan bleue à la Bree Van De Kamp!

Vintage Beige dress - 2.50€
Robe vintage beige à motifs

Vintage Hello sailor! shirt - 2.50€
Chemisier à l'esprit marin vintage

Air Hostess or Navy-like hat (you tell me!) - it's vintage & still has the tag on it! 5€

Black soft leather heels - soooooo comfy they're soon gonna become my favorites! 4€

Vintage cotton pale pink gloves with a delicate lining on the front - 3€

Last but not least... a white & rosebuds toothbrush holder that's definitely not vintage, but look like it could be! 1.50€

Obviously, I love all my little finds... but I must admit I've got a preference for my red floral skirt and the beige dress! And you, what do you think was worth spending a whole afternoon with an arched back??

Nobody puts Baby in a corner!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (funny - it's the same in English)

I'm jumping all around, running in circle with my arms up in the air, making weird noises... yeah it's obvious and you got it right.....

DIRTY DANCING is being shown in dublin's Cineworld on a biiiig screen!!

A bigger Baby, a stronger Johnny Castle, the best soundtrack ever right up in my ears (with Forrest Gumps' one as well I must admit) ...

= a huge fan so-excited-it-should-never-be-allowed and her watermelon queing at the cinema!!!

Beautiful people

Meow Sailor...

Yesterday evening, at a friend's birthday party.

I wore a Collectif leopard red cardigan found in a rockabilly shop in Berlin, a New Look sailor-inspired dress, and red patent heels from Dunnes Stores.

A guy later arrived at the party in his classic 1950s car.... so me and my friends had to go and see it and well...pose! No need to tell you I'd kill for a car like that...

Friday night and I'm off to meet me Irish in a pub with his colleagues. After a few drinks, there's a real need for food... comfy food!

Eddie Rocket's is a chain of Irish and English restaurants. I love going there as they are a complete and full reproduction of a 50s American diner.

The Rock 'n Roll music and the whole look of the place, with its individuals jukeboxes and funny signs is definitely worth going there, though I wouldn't urge you to go for the food itself, which is ok but...well, just OK actually.

The chain owns a classic Buick to diiiiiiiie for!! Everytime I see it in the streets of dublin, I just want to get into my "GTA Vice City" mood and beat the crap out of the driver, so that it could be mine... MY PRECIOUS!!! (yeah I can be mental sometimes)

I wish I had put on something for the occasion.... but instead I put on a classy Tux and a nice dress, with FrouFrou heels...

Everything from Penneys, except for the Tuxedo jacket which comes from Oasis.

I promised myself to actually dress someday in one of my pin-up's outfit in order to do some nice shots at Eddie's... that could be fun!! :-)

You have a nice weekend Ladies...

---------------------------------------------------------------

Bon weekend Ladies...

Shabby chic

Today I went for my weekly bargain hunt. I found three cute English little cups for 0.70€ each

And this nice vintage shirt for 3€, which unfortunately doesn't seem to be my size... I didn't try it on yet, but I guess size 14 ( eur 42 ) will definitely fit too loose... Well, we'll see how it goes!

It's got a very pretty big collar with lace on the ends.

There are buttons all the way down on the back

I'm pretty satisfied with my finds!!

Tomorrow, back to work for 4 days... I'm sooooo excited!!...

Yesterday's denim outfit

Denim Jacket accessorized with buttons - Mango
Blue cardigan & lace - H&M

Brown faux vintage bag - Penneys

Denim slim - H&M
Heels - Zara thrifted.

taking it easy...

I'm off work for 3 days since yesterday and I'm really really lucky, as the sun keeps on shining in Dublin, which, as you've heard I'm sure, is quite rare...

Went to Phoenix Park, which is only a 15-minute walk from home. I was wearing sandals for the 1st time of the year... hooray for my toes!!

It was warm and quiet, perfect for what I had intended to do, that is reading... I didn't get the time and chance to open a book in 2 months, so I really needed to get back into it.

"The Reader" is a book by Bernhard Schlink that's been adapted for the cinema a few months ago. I was deeply moved when I saw it on screen and... couldn't help crying at the end...
It's a beautiful love story set against a background of post WW2 and the trials of nazi criminals. Brilliant.

On my way back home, there were some really nice houses and colored doors...which are the "trademark" of Dublin...

when I arrived home.... a surprise was waiting for me in the mail box!
A vintage tapestry gladstone bag I found on magic eBay for £6! I'm in love with it!!

today the weather is great again :-) I'm gonna try and go for a run... and then do what I'm best at : chilling out in the sun!
